Searing a steak on this thing felt almost unfair—the heat distribution is so even that I got a crust without any hot spots. The pre-seasoning actually held up on the first cook, and the glass lid is a solid bonus for keeping an eye on things without lifting it.
The glass lid is a nice touch—it fits snugly and lets me watch the fond develop without lifting it. First sear came out with a proper crust, and cleanup was just a quick wipe since the preseasoning actually held up.
