Bought this for hulling strawberries with my kid and it's become the knife I reach for most. The 3.5" blade is short enough to feel safe doing handheld cuts, and it still came sharp enough to glide through peach skin.
The AUS-10 steel takes a screaming edge and the 3.5" blade is exactly the size I reach for when trimming green beans or peeling apples. It's tiny enough to keep on the board for quick jobs instead of dragging out a chef's knife.
I bought this mainly for hulling strawberries with my kid, and the 3.5" blade is the perfect size for small hands-on work like that. It's sharp right out of the box and the tip makes trimming peaches way easier than my old chef's knife.
