The wave-shaped serrations really do glide through a crusty baguette without squashing the inside. I've rinsed it a dozen times and there's not a spot of rust yet.
Bought this mainly for tomatoes and soft bread, and the ACUTO440 blade cuts clean without squishing anything. The rust-proof steel is a nice bonus since my old one started spotting after a few months.
The wave-shaped serrations really do grab the crust instead of sliding off, so my sourdough slices stay neat without getting crushed. I've run it through the dishwasher a bunch of times and there's not a spot of rust on it.
