The five knives cover everything I need for dinner prep, from the big chef's knife down to the little paring one for garlic. Been hand washing them for a few weeks and there's no spotting at all, which is more than I can say for my old set.
Chopped through a whole butternut squash with the big one and it didn't even slow down. Nice to have a set where the small paring knife is actually sharp for detail work instead of an afterthought. Five knives cover everything I cook in a week.
The red handles make these easy to spot in my cluttered drawer, and after two weeks of daily use, none of them have shown a single spot of rust. That ACUTO440 steel is the real deal for the price.
